Talisa is born and raised in Curacao and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Behavioral Sciences, specialization in Human Resources in 2014. Talisa has been a part of the Tempo Caribbean family for five years, as the inhouse Recruitment Specialist. Since January 2022, Talisa has been promoted to Senior Recruitment Specialist being mainly responsible for all documentation and internal processes.
In the case of Recruitment and Selection vacancies, candidates are recruited by Tempo and the chosen one will work directly for the company. So, when it comes to searching for top (young) professionals for Tempo’s clients, Talisa makes a trip around the sun to find suitable candidates. She focusses not only on face to face recruiting but also on the online recruiting, via LinkedIn, with both local and international candidates.
Talisa has a golden rule when it comes to matching the right candidates with the right employers; she applies the soft skill technique. “Most companies nowadays tend to focus on the hard skills of a job, instead of focusing on the soft skills of a candidate. When your workforce has lots of technical skills but has an absence of soft skills, your company results in a gap. For example, when you have several Managers but no real leaders, that’s a soft skills gap,” according to Talisa.
Outside of work Talisa loves gardening, creating art, working her way through every recipe in cookbooks, traveling the world, drinking coffee and spending time with family.

Social Media & Recruitment Consultant
Supharmy (aka Sumy) is born in Curacao but spend the majority of her youth in the Netherlands. Sumy finished High School and studied to become a nurse. Throughout the years she realized this was not the path she wanted to pursue, and she decided to switch courses. She moved back to her beloved island of Curacao, with the hopes of making a difference in her own country and for her own people. Sumy then studied at the University of Curacao and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business & Economics.
As someone that is always in for a challenge, she likes to grab onto every opportunity that comes her way. This can be seen throughout her career as she managed to accumulate a lot of different skills in a short period of time. While in search for her passion she slowly rolled into the marketing world and more specifically on Social Media. This has shown to be her talent and is where she flourishes. She loves to create beautiful content that people will enjoy and share.
A couple of years ago Sumy worked as a recruiter, focused on the Dutch market. She did lots and lots of job interviews by phone, which requires a bit more skill as you cannot look the candidate in the eye. This was the basis for her knowledge about recruiting and has taught her how to efficiently scan resumes and to quickly see whether or not there is a match with the vacancy. As Sumy will combine her Social Media duties with recruiting, she will be the primary one to scan all candidates that come in through the various channels that Tempo has to connect with candidates. If a candidate decides to send Tempo a WhatsApp, Facebook message, DM on Instagram or a regular email, Sumy will be the one that will assist.
Looking forward to her new journey at Tempo, Sumy is excited to grab onto the many aspects of her role and to get to grow together with the whole team. In her spare time Sumy loves to shop, discover new places and to bake. Her banana bread is a must-try!
