Our job and our colleagues are practically our second family. We spend nearly a quarter of any week at work, so don’t waste those hours feeling anything but yourself. Even if your work is demanding, you can still have fun and feel happy being at the office.

Here are several tips that you can apply, to jump start your morning and have a successful day.
1. Create a positive habit to start off your day
How you start your day will affect how you feel during the following eight hours. If you start by waking up to late, you are automatically in a rush to get the kids and/or yourself ready, which will guarantee a certain amount of stress at the beginning of your day.
So instead, try to do the following – wake up 30 minutes earlier, take five minutes to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea, sit in all quietness and meditate or listen to your favorite song. This will not only create a positive vibe but also set a calm mood ready for a productive day.
2. Stay hydrated
Drinking water regularly during your workday ensures that you feel fresh and energized. It improves brain function, reduces stress, and boosts a positive mood. Gift yourself a nice cup, mug or glass with attractive colors and quotes! And guess what? It allows you to get moving more due to the frequent 5-minutes (bathroom) breaks.
3. Decorate your space
Although we do strive for a clean desk policy; a dull, grey desk can have a negative vibe while we work. Personalizing your workspace can have a significant improvement on our overall job satisfaction. Display a picture of your family, place a small pumpkin during the fall season or add some Christmas decoration for an extra holly-jolly ambiance. Why not add a green touch to your desk by adding a small potted plant on your desk? Aside from getting some nature vibes indoors, plants will also help clean the air by absorbing toxins.
4. Be positive
Unhappy people and gossip will drain your happy mood. Instead, focus on creating positive and insightful conversations. Give your colleagues compliments! If the blue shirt looks nice on your colleague, say it out loud. You will boost the spirit of your colleague and feel great for saying something nice. Show some appreciation towards one and other. Last but not certainly least, don’t forget to smile.
